Father David is the Catholic Chaplain at Wake Forest University, his alma mater. He was appointed to that role in July 2024. Originally from Salisbury, NC, he was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Charlotte in 2016. He has a graduate degree in Biblical Theology from the Gregorian University in Rome. Prior to his assignment to Wake Forest, he served as the Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick Cathedral (Charlotte) and the Basilica of St. Lawrence (Asheville), and as Pastor at Our Lady of Mercy (Winston-Salem).
