Father Marcel is the Catholic Campus Minister at High Point University and NC A&T State University. He has served in the Diocese of Charlotte since 2014. Fr. Marcel was ordained in 2003 for the Archdiocese of Lagos, Nigeria. He served as personal secretary to Anthony Cardinal Okoge, the Archbishop of Lagos, and archdiocesan secretary and master of ceremonies for seven years. He edited and published a collection of the Cardinal’s homilies and speeches. He also published three other books including a book of his personal poems.

Fr. Marcel has Master’s Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Fordham University,. a Master's in Catholic Leadership from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, and a Ph.D in Pastoral Psychology/Education from the Catholic Leadership Foundation. Having experienced God’s love as a small boy, especially from the example of other priests reaching out to those in need, Fr. Marcel is happy to be among university students today in the Triad area, spreading that love and faith.
